A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Where did you score your pair?

I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a limited-time deal going on.

I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast and that’s a win in my book

How much do they cost?

When I bought my pair in April, I paid just under $390, but their full price is around $514.

You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.

How does the sizing run?

Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me.

Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.

Are they comfortable?

They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they reduce sweat. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more easy than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Bonus, they’re already distressed so your feet just slide in.

How durable are they?

Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

How are they vs. other brands?

They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.

Would you buy again?

Yes! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is smarter. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also go with everything.
